Our headline act was well worth the double slot, Liz Cotton was in absolute brilliant form and had us laughing all of the evening. In addition to being an excellent guitarist her lyrics were witty, biting, intelligent and great fun. Liz had an ep for sale at an incredible low price too. Folk clubs out there pay attention and book her as your main act as she is great entertainment!! We'll have her back later in the year I hope.

Halfway between Victoria Wood and Loudon Wainwright III Liz  had them in the palm of her hand after one song. It was a sheer pleasure to watch. I was looking around the room and nobody seemed to know what had hit them. There was one woman doubled over. Actually doubled over with laughter. We're lucky enough to have a few great comic folk singers pass through our doors, but I think it's fair to say that no-one pairs it with the technical musical brilliance that Liz did. I'd have her back in a second.
