 guitarist and comic songwriter

So we recorded "It's Crap" in Horningsea Church and I spent a few weeks editing it in Final Cut ready for the release date was in April. Ade of Three Circle Studio made a fab backing track and it sounds so good.
It has done so well. But will it stop the sewage plant?

19th February 2022 and next weekend something exciting is going down. Last few rehearsals this week.
Me in Les Ray's Songwriters' Circle on the FM 105 throughout February, laughing too much at my own jokes.
4th January BBC Cambridgeshire playing The Time Before Corona, tonight.

The summer has come and gone. Ely Folk Festival was a great gig. It was so well organised and amazing to see so many people. I sang Mice on Mars, The Time Before  Corona and Bridgerton Blues for the first time live.
Now there's Royston Folk Club coming up this Friday and then a count down to the Rural Highlights Tour in the North East from 23rd October to 31st with some floor spots in between. Because Mice on Mars is in DADGAD I think I'm going to have to travel with two guitars from now on.

It's June 5th and Bridgerton Blues is finished. I've uploaded it to Tunecore. Now I just have to wait for it to land on Spotify. Then I need to make a video...all before Season Two comes out.
May 26th.... 15 years ago to the day I had the privilege of playing at the amazing Dylan Festival in Shillong. An annual event always held on Dylan's birthday, and I was briefly on the same stage with these legendary musicians: Lou Majaw, Arjun Sen, Lew Hilt and Nondon Bagchi. The first and last time I sang I Shall Be Released.....

May 2021...There's a new satirical song on the horizon, working title Bridgerton Blues. Adrian Hare at Three Circles Studios is just polishing it up for me. It's the third in the Lockdown Trilogy.

I've got my first gig coming up at Ely Folk Festival on Sunday 10th July when I'll be playing music from the Edinburgh show, plus some of the new ones.

The Highlights Rural Touring show in the North East has been postponed til the autumn.

Lovely Thordis at BBC Cambridgeshire played The Time Before Corona last week. The clean, serious stuff with fewer gags is obviously the way to go.

And  I've just uploaded some really old songs from way back, onto Spotify. I wrote 'Brainchild' for a play by Farrukh Dhondy for its Delhi premiere in 2006; there's 'Spanish Lovers' which has had a bit of a makeover; 'Why Don't You Know What to Do?' is really old but still relevant today; and finally the original 'Stuck in a Traffic at The Chowk of Ashram'.

Here's my second lockdown song
